Q&A With Rudi Tartaglia
Q: What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
A: I am inspired by creativity. This is where I am in my “happy place”. This comes to fruition in the way that I embrace my own life, always looking at creative ways to move forward in life and enhance my experiences. All great creations were once only a thought. And I suppose I am obsessed with how we can turn our imagination into a manifestation through the creative process. I also bring this ethos into my business life, working with my clients on how to create, as opposed to compete.
Q: When you’re not writing, how do you spend your time?
A: It’s cliché, however I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I also am a strong advocate for self-time, which allows me to recharge, and manage the mind clutter that can store up after a while. Plant me anywhere near the beach, and I am happy, so I try to get to the beach as often as I can. I started out in my younger years as a drummer, then a nightclub DJ, and moved into music production. Therefore, I love music, and try to catch live music acts when I can.
Q: When did you first start writing?
A: I have been writing for as long as I remember. I first started writing music, and then become interested in poetry. When I entered marketing, I became interested in how writing can be used to transform beliefs, and how those very beliefs can grow massive businesses. Writing a book came much later, however it is something that I wanted to do for many years before it happened.
Q: What’s the story behind your latest book?
A: The PEND Principle is a strategic marketing process I developed after spending years working with multiple businesses, both small and large. I have integrated this process into many businesses, and have also delivered this via workshops, and the feedback was great. Clients can see how this process can provide a competitive edge, and it’s very satisfying for me to see this working in businesses.
Q: What motivated you to become an author?
A: I have a lot of knowledge around marketing that I wanted to impart on a larger scale. I believe that the PEND Principle can help businesses of any scale, any industry, and any country. A book was a great platform to impart this knowledge to a wider audience.
Q: What are you working on next?
A: Taking a holiday! No future books planned at the moment however a new idea is always one thought away.
Q: Who are your favorite authors?
A: Business authors, I really like Al Ries. He has written some great books on marketing & branding.
